Adam Starker - Identified Individual
Adam Starker, a passionate advocate for affordable housing and humanitarian causes, passed away on June 22, 2025, in Wheat Ridge, Colorado. Born on Easter Sunday, March 31, 1991, at St. Joseph Hospital in Denver, Adam grew up in the nearby town of Wheat Ridge and attended Lakewood High School.
Adam's academic pursuits led him to the University of Colorado, where he earned a BA degree in anthropology. His professional career was centered around affordable housing, a commitment that reflected a broader humanitarian effort to improve living conditions and support underserved communities.
Throughout his career, Adam worked tirelessly for various organisations dedicated to these causes. He was an early IT developer on the Homeless Management Information System (HMIS) at the Metro Denver Homeless Initiative. Adam also contributed his skills to the Harm Reduction Action Center, the Colorado Coalition for the Homeless, and Warren Village.
Adam was not only a dedicated professional but also an engaging conversationalist, always eager to share his insights and ideas. His inquisitive mind and love for reading made him a fascinating conversational partner.
Adam is survived by his parents, William J. (Bud) and Mary S. Starker, and his brother, John A. Starker. A memorial service for Adam will be held at Montview Boulevard Presbyterian Church on August 30, 2025, at 11:00AM, with a reception to follow. The memorial service will take place at 1980 Dahlia St., Denver, CO 80220.
In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts in honor of Adam can be made to the Harm Reduction Action Center, the Colorado Coalition for the Homeless, Warren Village, and the Metro Denver Homeless Initiative. These organisations were close to Adam's heart, and donations will continue his legacy of helping those in need.
