Application Invitation for 12-month Postdoctoral Position - TIERED ExcellencES Project - Sciences Po/INED
Sciences Po and the French Institute for Demographic Studies (INED) have announced a call for applications for a 12-month postdoctoral fellowship within the TIERED project. This joint initiative aims to foster research at the intersection of digital transformations, demographic studies, environment, and family behavior.
The TIERED ExcellencES project focuses on two main research themes: 1. The links between work, digital technology, and health. 2. The relationship between the environment and family behaviour.
The successful candidate will be selected based on scientific merit, ability to mobilize transdisciplinary interest, and dynamic involvement in Sciences Po and INED research centers. They will conduct research aligned with one of these themes and foster synergies between partner teams in the two organizations.
To be eligible, applicants must hold a PhD in social sciences and humanities, completed between April 2020 and April 2025. The remuneration for the post-doctoral researcher is approximately €2,900 gross per month.
Sciences Po and INED are equal opportunity employers and are committed to ensuring a balanced representation of genders, geographic areas, and minorities. Applications from women are particularly welcome. Knowledge of digital or environmental sciences will be an asset.
The deadline for sending applications is April 15, 2025. Applicants should submit their CV, letter of motivation, research project, thesis and defense report, significant article or book chapter, and names of two academic referees. Interviews with shortlisted candidates will be held in May 2025.
The pre-selection committee includes Jean-Philippe Cointet, Sandrine Dauphin, Géraldine Duthé, and Charlotte Halpern. The fellowship is for a fixed-term contract of one year as part of the TIERED project. The contract start date is September 1, 2025, and the post-doctoral researcher will be based at INED through a hosting agreement with Sciences Po.
For more detailed application instructions, researchers are directed to the official call for applications published by Sciences Po and INED, typically available on their websites and related announcements. The fellowship offers an opportunity to contribute to empirical research in a dynamic and stimulating environment.
