Blood Donation Campaign Held by Karmasangsthan Bank
On Monday, 4th August 2025, Karmasangsthan Bank held a voluntary blood donation campaign at its Head Office. The event was part of the bank's July Reawakening Programme 2025, and it was conducted by Mohammad Nasimul Haque, Principal Officer of the Marketing Unit.
The campaign was a tribute to the martyrs of the July uprising, with the objective of honouring their sacrifices and promoting humanitarian values through blood donation. Managing Director Arun Kumar Chowdhury emphasised that blood donation is both a moral and social responsibility. He expressed prayers for the martyrs and wishes for the injured's speedy recovery.
The campaign was attended by Deputy Managing Director Meher Sultana, General Managers Mahmuda Yasmin, Md Shafiqul Islam Miah, and Md Amirul Islam, and officials and staff from the head office, main branch, and Dhaka region. The active participation from senior officials, employees across branches in Dhaka region, and cooperation with organizations like the Red Crescent highlighted social solidarity and set an example for voluntary contributions to public health and community welfare.
In his address, Arun Kumar Chowdhury described blood donation as "the highest form of giving" that directly saves lives. He thanked the Bangladesh Red Crescent Society for their active involvement in the blood donation campaign and encouraged everyone to "Keep updated, follow our website's Google news channel."
Arun Kumar Chowdhury expressed his heartfelt gratitude to all participants who came forward spontaneously. He noted that the initiative aimed to honour the sacrifices of the past while contributing to a life-saving humanitarian cause. The event symbolically honoured the martyrs while encouraging life-saving donations through community involvement and corporate social responsibility.
