'Cancer row: Offenbach charity regatta unites sportsmanship and camaraderie'
On Sunday, October 6, 2024, the 10th Offenbach Benefit Regatta 'Rowing Against Cancer' will take place on the Main river. This annual event, now in its decade, aims to finance important therapies and give courage to cancer patients.
A total of 60 four-person teams will compete in the event, with many sponsors from all over Germany supporting the Offenbach Benefit Regatta. The Furstlich Castellsche Bank is providing significant support, offering a four-figure sum for all locations.
The approximately 300-meter course will be in front of the boathouse of the Wassersportverein 1926 e.V. Offenbach a.M. - Bürgel. The Wassersportverein is committed to preparing the teams for the event, ensuring a competitive and exciting day for all participants.
The new elimination system this year will feature races in the categories 'Newcomer' and 'Experts'. Manuela Damm, sports chairwoman of the WSV, emphasized the club's enthusiasm for the event, stating that it is a unique opportunity to make a difference in the lives of cancer patients.
Cancer patients themselves are participating in the races, demonstrating their resilience and determination in the face of adversity. Dr. Thomas Bellut, chairman of the Stiftung Leben mit Krebs, stated that the event mobilizes shared experiences and solidarity, bringing together the community in a powerful show of support.
The proceeds from the regatta will be invested in the sports therapeutic care of cancer patients in cooperation with the Sana Klinikum Offenbach. The support of the Furstlich Castellsche Bank makes the Offenbach Benefit Regatta an important driving force in the fight against cancer.
Unfortunately, the main sponsor of the 10th Offenbacher Benefit Rowing Regatta 2024 and their support of the Stiftung Leben mit Krebs with a four-figure amount could not be found in the available search results.
Regardless, the Offenbach Benefit Regatta 'Rowing Against Cancer' continues to be a beacon of hope and solidarity in the fight against cancer, bringing together the community and raising funds for a worthy cause.
