In a significant move within the UR Medicine network, Dr. Kathy Parrinello has been appointed as the President and CEO of both Strong Memorial Hospital and Highland Hospital. This announcement marks a new chapter for the two critical healthcare institutions, which play a pivotal role in the community.

Dr. Parrinello's appointment is part of the UR Medicine network's efforts to strengthen its leadership to enhance its operations. The network, comprising hospitals, clinics, skilled nursing facilities, and home care agencies, aims to provide the highest quality healthcare as close to home as possible throughout upstate New York.

Meanwhile, Steve Goldstein, the current President and CEO of Highland Hospital, will continue to direct the strategic integration of the UR Medicine health system. Goldstein, who has been a guiding force behind the growth and success of Strong Memorial Hospital and Highland Hospital for the past 28 years, looks forward to working more closely with affiliate leadership to ensure patients receive the best care possible.

In addition to Dr. Parrinello's appointment, Ms. Fuller Spencer has been named the interim CFO at Strong Memorial Hospital, overseeing financial operations. Although there is no confirmation of her role at Highland Hospital, her focus remains on Strong Memorial.
