Horrifying amounts indeed, but a staggering 5,119 malnourished children under the age of 5 years were recently treated, only in May. The coastal strip has seen 20 months of unrelenting war and subsequent devastation, never leaving enough resources, such as clean water, medical care, and essential treatment options for those requesting help.

Malnourished children are ideally primed targets for severe diseases, particularly acute diarrhea – a condition that further weakens their health, encouraging malnutrition to take hold.
