Chinese Scientists Unveil Revolutionary Bone Adhesive 'Bone 02'
Chinese scientists have created a revolutionary medical adhesive, 'Bone 02', to treat bone fractures. This innovative substance promises quicker and safer treatment compared to traditional methods.
Bone 02 can repair broken bones in just one injection, binding fragments together securely. Early trials suggest it can secure fractures in under three minutes, a significant improvement over traditional surgery with steel plates and screws.
The adhesive's strength is impressive, with a shear strength of 0.5 MPa and compressive strength close to 10 MPa. Lab studies show it can withstand a maximum bonding force exceeding 400 pounds, indicating high safety and effectiveness.
