Discourse on Strategies to Deter Juvenile Drug Abuse Held in Krasnodar
In an lively videoconference session, a whopping 700+ participants from municipal leadership, law enforcement, educational and healthcare sectors, and the prevention system gathered together. The session was conducted by Vice-Governor Alexander Vlasov.
The focus of this expansive meeting centered around psychological and pedagogical support for teenagers, discussing summary reports of preventive medical examinations and testing.
Leading the conversation, preventive measures against drug abuse was priority. Emphasis was placed on promoting a healthy lifestyle via activities such as bike rides and strong partnerships with families. The Uspensky District proudly leads this charge.
Kicking off the anti-drug month across the region, Vice-Governor Vlasov emphasized the intention to engage as many young people as possible in preventive activities during the vacation period.
This academic year alone, an impressive number of over 414,000 schoolchildren and students underwent social and psychological testing.
Prevention doesn't just come from professionals, volunteers are pitching in as well. There are 225 detachments of them in Kuban, serving nearly 7,000 people. The law enforcement sector is equally committed in the battle against drug abuse. In this year alone, police have conducted 5,500 lectures for school and university students, as reported by the Krasnodar Territory Administration's press service.
