In a heartwarming ceremony held at the rescue station on Kieselbronner Straße 46, the local DRK district association's department of emergency services welcomed 13 new members on a significant day in August 2025.

The ceremony was graced by the presence of Jochen Irion, the emergency services manager, and Ute Fiedrich, the deputy district manager and head of the social work department. Irion emphasized the importance of the role these new members have chosen, stating that being a qualified emergency medical technician is the best job in the world.

Among the new recruits was a new emergency medical technician from the Lake Constance region, a Bundeswehr apprentice who will complete his ambulance service internship in the region, and six apprentices for the emergency medical technician profession.

Fiedrich warmly welcomed the attendees and expressed her wish that everyone feels valued and at home at the local DRK. Sven Thieme, head of the practical instructor team, promised support to the new apprentices as they embark on their journey.

The newly qualified emergency medical technicians will now take on responsibility in emergency missions, ready to provide the right touch in the missions, as Irion had wished. The apprentices for the emergency medical technician profession will explore Pforzheim and the Enz district in the coming days before starting the first block of lessons at the DRK state school.

The welcoming ceremony was attended by the district management, emergency services management, trainers, and duty schedulers. Irion presented the newly qualified emergency medical technicians with a personalized stethoscope each as a gift, symbolizing their new role and the lives they will save.

As of August 2025, there are no specific publicly available details about the number of new hires, their roles, or related celebration events at local DRK emergency services. For exact numbers, roles, or event details, it is recommended to consult official DRK local branch communications, press releases, or contact their human resources or public relations departments directly for the most accurate and up-to-date information.

In the heartwarming ceremony, the six apprentices for the emergency medical technician profession were introduced to the world of health-and-wellness, specifically focusing on fitness-and-exercise and medical-conditions. As they progress in their training, they will gain the scientific knowledge and practical skills needed to provide crucial assistance in various emergency situations.
