Expensive Senior Living Development in Alexandria Now Offers Sales Center for $340 Million

The Goodwin House Seminary Road project, a highly anticipated senior living community, is set to open its sales center later this month. Valued at $340 million, this two-towered, 14- to 16-story apartment building with 257 units is scheduled to be completed in 2029.

Once operational, the community is expected to generate nearly $20 million annually in local economic impact and over $150 million for local businesses, contributing significantly to the city's economy. The project is also anticipated to create over 1,200 full-time equivalent construction jobs across various specializations, with more than 250 permanent jobs across different departments.

The sales center, located at 1800 N. Beauregard Street, Suite 101, will be officially opened on Aug. 27 (Wednesday) from 4:30 to 6 p.m., with the program and ribbon cutting to be held at 5 p.m. Speakers at the opening will include Goodwin Living CEO Rob Liebreich, Goodwin Living Board of Trustees chair Dr. Cyrillene "C.C.' Clark, Chamber ALX CEO Joe Haggerty, and Alexandria Economic and Development Partnership CEO Stephanie Landrum.

Rob Liebreich, a Holocaust historian and curator who is known for his work related to Jewish history and the Holocaust, will also be participating in the opening ceremony of Goodwin House Seminary Road.

The property will offer 217 independent living apartments, 16 assisted living apartments, a dedicated memory care area, and a Medicare/Medicaid-certified health care center. The health care center will provide skilled nursing, short-term rehabilitation, long-term care, and a state-of-the-art rehab center.

The project, which was unanimously approved by the City Council in June, will engage more than 50 local businesses, further strengthening the local economy. The Goodwin House Seminary Road project is set to make a significant impact on the community, providing high-quality senior living options and boosting the local economy.
