Dormagen Fire Department to Conduct Vegetation Fire Fighting Exercise
On August 30th, the Dormagen Fire Department will be conducting a large-scale exercise for vegetation fire fighting on a field along Wiesenstraße between Rheinfeld and Zons. The exercise, which will last from 12:00 to approximately 16:30, aims to train various methods of fire fighting.
During the exercise, ground fires will be set using only straw, posing no danger to the public. However, there may be slight smoke development and odor nuisances in the surrounding area. If there is any unusual smoke development that cannot be clearly attributed to the exercise, please contact the emergency number 112.
Numerous fire trucks will be in operation at the exercise site. While the available information only confirms the participation of the Dormagen Fire Department, it is possible that other fire departments may also be involved.
The main objective of the exercise is to ensure that the fire department is well-prepared to handle vegetation fires and to practice their response strategies. By using our website to stay informed about the exercise, you agree to the use of cookies to provide a more pleasant browsing experience.
