Foundation grants inaugural Health Prize to distinguished recipients in the healthcare field
The Wiesbaden Health City Foundation, a charitable organisation dedicated to supporting public health care, preventive health initiatives, and health sciences in the state capital, has opened its doors for applications from non-profit projects in Wiesbaden.
Established in 2000 and managed by the city's EGW Society for a Healthy Wiesbaden, the foundation's purpose is to promote health and well-being within the community. The application process, requirements, and form can be found on their official website at www.ein-gesundes-our website.de/stiftungspreis.
Typically, awards for non-profit projects like those given by foundations in German cities require projects to be based in or directly benefit the city or region, involve non-profit organisations, and align with the foundation’s health promotion or community well-being objectives. The application usually involves submitting a detailed project proposal or application form by a deadline, including descriptions of the project's goals, beneficiaries, budget, and expected impact. Selection criteria commonly focus on the project's relevance, innovation, feasibility, and sustainability.
The deadline for applications for this year's award is Tuesday, September 30th. The award presentation will take place on Monday, December 8th, with Health Delegate Milena Loebcke serving as patron during the 25th anniversary of the Wiesbaden Health City Foundation.
Last year, 14 different projects were funded by the Wiesbaden Health City Foundation, including one that offers free entry for elementary school classes to a theater performance on the topic of obesity, and another that provides care for children of parents with cancer.
Milena Loebcke, who will also present an award during the 25th anniversary of the Wiesbaden Health City Foundation, stated that Wiesbaden stands in a great tradition as a spa and health city. For further information or queries, citizens can contact the town hall's responsible department, office, or switchboard. The Press Office of the State Capital Wiesbaden, located at Schlossplatz 6, 65183 Wiesbaden, is also a valuable resource for information.
Science plays a crucial role in the project proposals submitted for the Wiesbaden Health City Foundation's award, as innovative and sustainable health-and-wellness initiatives are highly valued. The foundation, which aligns with the promotion of health and well-being within the community, provides funding for projects that directly benefit the city or region and closely follow its health promotion or community well-being objectives.
