Globus Issues Urgent Fish Recall - Possible Gastrointestinal Issues Reported Severely

A recall has been announced for two fish dish products - the "Lykkeberg Fish Patties classic" (360 grams) and "Fish Patties with Salmon" (280 grams) - manufactured by Tenax Sild A/S, following suspicions of contamination with listeria.

The recall, announced on Friday, 19 September 2025, was made via the German food safety warning portal, lebensmittelwarnung.de. The affected products were distributed through branches of the retailer Globus, both in Denmark and Germany, including in Bavaria.

The "Lykkeberg Fish Patties classic" and "Fish Patties with Salmon" recalled by Tenax Sild A/S were sold in Globus stores in Denmark. In Germany, these products were available nationwide.

Consumption of the affected products is strongly recommended against. Listeria infection can cause flu-like symptoms or gastrointestinal complaints. In rare cases, it can lead to serious illnesses, particularly for pregnant women, young children, the elderly, and persons with weakened immune systems.

Affected batches for the "Lykkeberg Fish Patties classic" are L331YF, L332YF, L333YF, L334YF, L335YF, L430YF, L532YF, L533YF, and L535YF, with best before dates between 5.9. and 10.10.25. For the "Fish Patties with Salmon", the affected batches are 4.9., 10.9., 17.9., 24.9., 1.10., and 8.10.25.
