The donation will lead to a name change for the hospital, with it set to be renamed the Golisano Children's Hospital of Buffalo in January 2026. This marks the fourth children's hospital to carry Golisano's name, following the University of Rochester-Golisano Children's Hospital in Rochester and Upstate Golisano Children's Hospital in Syracuse, as well as Golisano Children's Hospital in Southwest Florida (Fort Myers area).
Golisano's significant financial support and commitment to children's healthcare have earned these hospitals the right to bear his name.
