Singer Miley Cyrus Reveals Battle With Severe Infection Following Hollywood Walk of Fame Stunt
Singer Miley Cyrus has shared a harrowing experience after catching a severe infection on her kneecap while filming a video for her latest album, "Something Beautiful," on Hollywood's famous Walk of Fame.
During an appearance on "Jimmy Kimmel Live!," Cyrus spoke about the incident that took a turn for the worse. The video shoot, which took place in October, saw the 32-year-old singer roll over the iconic sidewalk at night.
By Thanksgiving in November, Cyrus found herself in the ICU amidst an overcrowded emergency room due to the progression of the infection. The infection affected her patella area, causing parts of her kneecap to disintegrate.
A concerned doctor inquired about how she could have contracted such a brutal infection. Cyrus admitted to the unsanitary conditions she encountered on the Walk of Fame, an admission that left the medical professionals shocked.
One surgeon even compared the sight to looking inside cadavers, calling the state of the Walk of Fame "disgusting."
Set to release on May 30, "Something Beautiful" is Cyrus' ninth studio album, featuring 13 tracks in total.
