Hospitals will not cease operations.

Business Quarter Yekaterinburg reports on Tatyana Savinova's discussion about future industry advancements and her explanation of 'medicine optimization'.

Hospitals will not cease operations.

Fresh Take:

Tatiana Savinova, the new Health Minister of Sverdlovsk Oblast, discusses her game plan at the "Healthcare of the Urals" event. Appointed by the regional governor Denis Pasler on April 5th, she previously served as the Minister of Health in Orenburg Oblast.

In a chat with media outlets, Savinova pointed out that the primary objective of Russian healthcare is to slash mortality rates. To accomplish this, she plans to dive into fresh medical tech to expand their understanding and implementation. The exhibition, she noted, concentrates on adopting a healthy lifestyle and preventive health treatments, which will be prioritized going forward.

"I wholeheartedly believe that attending such large medical conferences boosts our medical administrators' skills to tackle this critical task," Savinova stated.

She also clarified that when she uses the term 'optimization' in Russian medicine, it doesn't mean closing hospitals or clinics.

Topics on the agenda included gearing up medical facilities with technology amid sanctions, maintaining and repairing current equipment, local production in medicine and pharmacy, and rehabilitation programs for patients.

Prior to her shift to Orenburg and her administrative role, Tatiana Savinova worked as a pediatrician at Yekaterinburg City Children's Infectious Hospital No. 4. Now, having returned to her hometown after her stint in Orenburg, she's eager to bring her acquired expertise to work for the people of Sverdlovsk Oblast.

"I became a doctor right here, in Yekaterinburg, and I understand the kind of aid people yearn for. The knowledge I've gained here proved indispensable in organizing work in Orenburg Oblast. Now, I aim to harness all my accumulated experience, competencies, and energy as effectively as possible to serve my native region of Sverdlovsk Oblast. I intend to consult with medical professionals, many of whom I've known personally, and communicate directly with local residents to enhance the social sphere and healthcare in Sverdlovsk Oblast," Savinova expressed on her first day in office.
