In the rapidly evolving automotive industry, driven by environmentally-oriented procurement, new sustainability requirements, and increasing demand for consumption data, German Automobile Trust (GAT) has made a strategic move to secure its position.

GAT, a key player in the industry, has increased its stake in High-Mobility GmbH, a Berlin-based startup providing standardized, hardware-free connected car data, to 65 percent. Thilo Wagner, CEO of GAT and member of High-Mobility's advisory board, stated that this move would ensure the continued development of High-Mobility.

High-Mobility's data services are already being utilised by fleet management systems, service providers, and car subscription services. Now, with GAT's increased stake, the company sees itself in a key position in this industry transformation.

One of the unique offerings from GAT is the Automotive SilverGAT Connect, designed to provide more efficiency for fleets. This all-in-one tool for fleet managers combines configurator data, vehicle identification, live data, and value development.

The importance of telematics data, which High-Mobility specialises in, cannot be overstated. It is crucial for workshops, experts, and end-users alike. In fact, GAT is currently researching with universities to determine the state of health of battery electric vehicles using telematics data.

High-Mobility's data services are increasingly becoming an indispensable resource for fleet management and fleet management solutions. The company's CTO and founder, Kevin Valdek, plays a central role in leading the company’s technology and data services for fleets and mobility solutions.

This strategic move by GAT underscores its commitment to the industry's transformation and its belief in the potential of High-Mobility. The company's previous investment in High-Mobility in 2020 and the development of SilverGAT Connect further solidify this commitment.

Simple and data-protection-compliant access to vehicle information is becoming essential in this data-driven era. With its increased stake in High-Mobility, GAT is poised to lead the way in this regard, providing solutions that cater to the needs of the modern automotive industry.
