L.A. Unveils Vegan Food Pop-up Featuring Renowned Chef Katsumi Kusumoto from Tokyo

The SAIDO's Vegan Way Culinary Series, voted the World's Best Vegan Restaurant in 2019 by HappyCow, is making its way to Los Angeles. This exciting culinary event, focused on vegan cooking, is set to showcase plant-based Japanese cuisine or innovative vegan dishes crafted by Chef Katsumoto Kusumoto.

The popup will take place at the acclaimed our website restaurant space on the 5th floor of Ovation Hollywood (formerly Hollywood & Highland). Diners will be treated to sweeping views from Hollywood to Downtown Los Angeles.

For those interested, reservations can be made here. The series will offer a three-course lunch and a six-course dinner, with prices set at $30 for lunch and $70 for dinner per person.

Chef Kusumoto, originally trained in French cuisine, opened the restaurant SAIDO in 2018, which offers a new interpretation of Japanese food without any meat, fish, chemicals, or refined sugar. The popup will display his unique blend of traditional and innovative techniques into his recipes.

The SAIDO's Vegan Way Culinary Series is presented by LA Foundation, Japan External Trade Organization (JETRO), and supported by Los Angeles and All Nippon Airways, Co., Ltd. The popup will showcase the long-established tradition of vegetarian and vegan cuisine in Japan.
