In the heart of Almaty, Kazakhstan, a heartwarming initiative is underway. The "Mysterious Grandfather Frost" campaign aims to provide New Year gifts to over 700 lonely pensioners aged 59 and above, with the number potentially increasing as the campaign progresses.

The event, part of the larger "Gajaiyp Aiyaz Ata" happening in Almaty, consists of two stages. From December 23 to 25, volunteers will be collecting and sorting food and gifts. From December 26 to 30, they will be delivering these items to the homes of the elderly recipients.

Bagdat Anarbayeva, the chairperson of the Almaty branch of the Kazakhstan Volunteer League, and Madina Myrzakhmetova, a representative of the Almaty Do-Gooders Club, are spearheading this campaign. Anyone who wants to join can do so without any specific requirements or qualifications.

Blat Dilmira, a representative of Lider.kz, expressed that the main goal of the campaign is to provide attention and care to these lonely pensioners in Almaty. Volunteers involved in the campaign find great satisfaction from their activities aimed at helping the elderly.

For those interested in contributing, gifts and food can be brought to 22, Baityrlyk Street, 1. The campaign is still ongoing until December 30.
