Mariella Frostrup & Belle Berry Launch 'Menolicious' Cookbook for Menopause Support
Menopause campaigner Mariella Frostrup and chef Belle Berry have teamed up to create 'Menolicious: Eat Your Way to a Better Menopause', a cookbook priced at £22. The book combines personal experiences, culinary expertise, and nutritional guidance to support women through menopause.
The duo developed the Coconut Chicken and Black Bean Stew, one of the recipes in the cookbook. Mariella Frostrup, a 62-year-old presenter and journalist, collaborated with Belle Berry, a 51-year-old Cordon Bleu-trained chef and daughter of Mary Berry, to create dishes that tackle common menopause symptoms.
The cookbook offers a variety of meals, including protein-packed breakfasts, anti-bloat lunches, one-pot dinners, replenishing smoothies, and sweet treats. Each recipe takes 30 minutes or less to prepare. Specific ingredients are highlighted for their positive effects on symptoms like hot flushes, night sweats, and mood swings. Dietitian Hala El-Shafie provided nutritional guidance to ensure the recipes support hormonal balance, energy boost, sugar craving control, weight management, and improved focus and mood.
Frostrup and Berry's 'Menolicious' cookbook is a practical guide for women navigating menopause. With quick and delicious recipes, it aims to make menopause more manageable through diet.
