Natural Fitting: Revolutionizing Hearing Aid Fitting at IHC 2025
The 69th International Hearing Acoustics Congress, taking place in Nuremberg from October 22 to 24, 2025, will showcase Natural Fitting, a patented hearing aid fitting procedure, at Stand 243 in Hall 7. This innovative method has gained global recognition from audiologists for its flexibility and sound quality improvement based on customer feedback.
Malte Stefan, a hearing acoustics master, endorses Natural Fitting for its ability to enhance speech understanding and customer acceptance, as reported by Meike Lindemann, another hearing acoustics master. Unlike traditional loudness scaling, Natural Fitting considers individual hearing perception to optimise speech understanding and hearing aid settings.
Currently, specific Hörakustiker or Hörakustikbetriebe in Germany and Switzerland using Natural Fitting are not publicly listed. However, the Individual Acoustic Service (IAS) exclusively distributes this procedure in these regions, giving independent hearing acoustics companies the chance to offer local uniqueness. Jürgen Leisten, managing partner of IAS, is available for prior appointments at the congress.
Kristof Becker and Thomas Müller, the developers of Natural Fitting, ensure the audiological iPad app remains up-to-date with the latest iOS versions. Manuela Bardong, a hearing care professional, has witnessed significant improvements in customer hearing with this innovative fitting procedure.
