Approximately 50% of first-graders fall into the first or second health group, but as they progress through school, that number plummets to 10%. That means a whopping 9 out of 10 schoolchildren have some sort of health woe!

You might be surprised to know that it's not just tapping away on TikTok that's hurting our youngsters' health. Dr. Guzik, quoted in Minsk-Novosti, points to a few other significant culprits: lack of physical activity, excessive academic workloads, and demanding homework schedules.

These factors leave children with poor posture, blurry vision, and other troublesome issues. But even amidst their packed schedules, with university on the horizon, children can still carve out some time for self-care. A brisk walk, for instance, can work wonders for the heart, lower blood pressure, stabilize blood sugar, and aid in weight loss. Plus, it can improve the health of bones, muscles, digestive systems, cognitive abilities, and even lift your spirits!

If you're a parent or guardian, don't forget to consider your little ones, too. Even infants need enough motor activity and an optimal daily routine, with at least 30 minutes on their tummies. As children grow, their needs evolve. From toddlers needing 3 hours of physical activity daily, preschoolers should be spending at least an hour daily, engaged in active play.

In a nutshell, staying active isn't just about looking good – it's about feeling great, too! So, skip the couch and get moving!
