New Emergency Clinic Opens in Paderborn on October 1st

The Christliche Klinikum Paderborn is set to open a new Clinic for Emergency Medicine on 1st October, led by chief physicians Kai Klößing and Thorsten Dahm. The clinic aims to provide comprehensive care, from emergency response to treatment, even with increasing patient numbers.

The Central Emergency Department, under their leadership since August 2021, will be the core of this new clinic. It currently treats over 40,000 patients annually due to reduced emergency departments in the district and demographic changes. The medical team will consist of two chief physicians, three senior physicians, four assistant physicians, three physician assistants, and 50 nursing colleagues. The clinic will also focus on linking pre-clinical and clinical emergency medicine under one roof, bundling knowledge and defining contact persons. Expansion plans include setting up a second shock room to accommodate the growing needs of the community.

The new Clinic for Emergency Medicine at Brothers Hospital St. Josef aims to improve patient care by providing a comprehensive, well-staffed, and expanded facility. Led by experienced chief physicians, it is set to open on 1st October, ready to serve the increasing patient numbers in the district.
