Nose fracture resulting from joint trauma in BPOLD-B
In Berlin, the Federal Police are currently investigating a serious incident involving two Polish nationals who were arrested on suspicion of aggravated assault. The incident took place near Berlin Central Station (Berlin Hauptbahnhof) around 21:20 on Monday evening.
According to the Federal Police Directorate Berlin, the 53-year-old Polish citizen, who had previously violated the entry ban to Germany, and a 27-year-old Polish national were arrested by the Berlin Police and Federal Police at Berlin-Alexanderplatz station. The breath alcohol content of the 53-year-old was 3.24 per mille, and the 27-year-old had a level of 3.78 per mille.
The intoxicated duo were transported to the central detention facility of the Berlin Police for a blood test ordered by the Berlin Public Prosecutor's Office. After the blood test, they were released by the Berlin Police.
The incident occurred on an S-Bahn line 9 train in Berlin-Mitte, where an argument between three men escalated into a physical altercation. During the altercation, two men allegedly assaulted another man, breaking his nose. The injured man, a 45-year-old Pole, was transported to a nearby hospital for medical treatment by emergency services.
In addition to the aggravated assault investigation, a criminal procedure has been initiated against the 53-year-old on suspicion of illegal residence, as his freedom of movement was revoked in 2017.
