In the heart of Neuss, a new free newsletter is making waves, providing in-depth information about social developments, culinary arts, art, and culture in the city. This engaging publication, delivered straight to your inbox, aims to keep you informed and connected.

But that's not all! The newsletter also offers detailed information about Neuss itself, making it an essential read for both residents and visitors alike. And with a strict no-advertisement policy, you can rest assured that your inbox will remain clutter-free.

For those interested in giving back to their community, volunteer opportunities are available at two local cafés: "Clemens Café" and "Café Kränzchen". Due to existing volunteers leaving at the end of the year, these establishments are in need of new hands to help out.

The "Clemens Café", run by the Caritas Association Rhein-Kreis Neuss, will be held at the St. Clemens Senior Center, Friedrichstraße 29, every Thursday from 2 to 5 pm, starting in November. This bright and spacious room offers a social environment for caregivers and people with dementia, with activities such as coffee, physical activities, playing, singing, and storytelling.

To volunteer, follow these simple steps:

  1. Contact the Cafe Management Directly: Reach out to the management of both cafes to express your interest in volunteering. They will provide the most up-to-date information on volunteer roles, schedules, and requirements.
  2. Visit the Cafes In Person: If possible, visit Clemens Cafe and Cafe Kränzchen during their opening hours. There may be volunteer coordinators or staff members who can give you firsthand information and sign you up.
  3. Check Local Community Boards or Social Media: Local community centers, municipal websites, or Facebook groups dedicated to local volunteering often post calls for volunteers. These might include details about new locations and needs.
  4. Reach Out to Local Churches or Social Organizations Connected with the Cafes: Often, cafes like Clemens Cafe and Cafe Kränzchen are linked with community groups or churches that organize volunteer efforts. They can connect you with volunteer coordinators.
  5. Prepare for Possible Training or Orientation: With shifts in volunteer teams due to departing helpers, new volunteers might need brief training or orientation on their duties and health/safety rules.

For those interested in the newsletter, subscribing is quick and easy, and it's completely free! Users may need to check their spam folder to confirm subscription. And if at any time you wish to unsubscribe, you can do so with a simple click.

So why wait? Stay updated, get involved, and become a part of the vibrant Neuss community today!
