Promet-Ural Introduces Russiana-Made, Cost-Effective Radiation-Protective Aprons
Berezovsky-based Promet-Ural, a leading player in the radiation-protective equipment industry, has begun production of a locally manufactured apron model featuring detachable sleeves. This design, which offers protection for the axillary lymph nodes - a crucial area for frequent X-ray radiation exposure - has yet to be manufactured domestically but enjoys popularity overseas. The aprons, made from lightweight, lead-laminated vinyl, reduce weight and extend product lifespan.
With this new line, Promet-Ural achieves complete import substitution of foreign-produced radiation-protective aprons. The Ural-made aprons align with their foreign counterparts in quality but offer a more affordable price point.
Established a decade ago, the Promet-Ural Group produces radiation-protective clothing, materials, glass, and equipment for medical and nuclear industries. Holding a 40% market share in its sector, the company has a well-established presence in Russia.
At the beginning of the year, Promet-Ural inaugurated a new workshop where the entire production cycle takes place, from in-house design to production of products in various sizes. The facility aims to produce 5,000 units per year.
Throughout 2024, Promet-Ural exhibited at Innoprom, the regional representation at the UAE negotiations for radiation-protective glasses supply, and exports to Kazakhstan, Belarus, Uzbekistan, and Kyrgyzstan.
Having been awarded the 'Best Small Enterprise in Innovative Activities' at the regional stage of the National "Golden Mercury" award, and with its "Premium" line of radiation-protective clothing included in the "100 Best Products of Russia" list in 2024, Promet-Ural demonstrates a commitment to excellence in its field.
Previously, promotional activities for Entrepreneurship Week started in the Sverdlovsk region were reported by the local newspaper, "Oblaastnaya Gazeta."
