Sunday's Event: Volunteers Show Up for Blue Light Day

In Hagen on September 2, 2018, the city's blue light partners will welcome visitors for a second time at the Johanniskirchplatz. The HagenAgentur has meticulously planned an engaging program for this occasion, set to commence at 10:00 AM.

A diverse array of performances and exhibitions will be presented by the police, fire department, public order office, German Red Cross (DRK), German Lifesaving Association (DLRG), Technical Relief Agency (THW), and other participating institutions.

The main attraction of the Hagen Blue Light Day is the staging of two realistic traffic accident simulations. These simulations will allow spectators to witness the event unfold with actors, followed by a detailed demonstration and explanation of the police's response and the fire department's subsequent rescue efforts.

For those eager to see police dogs in action, the Hagen service dog handlers will showcase their four-legged colleagues' skills, including demonstrating how they locate perpetrators.

Throughout the day, the police will display their service vehicles, featuring some rare models. Their recruitment team will also be available to provide information about employment requirements and career opportunities.

Children may create their own fingerprint pass at a crime scene, and officers from the criminal police will offer free advice on burglary protection.

The fire department, in collaboration with the youth fire brigade, will present numerous vehicles and, in conjunction with the DLRG, will demonstrate divers in action using a diving container. The Iserlohn fire department's service dogs will also demonstrate their abilities.

The THW, DRK, and Hagen's public order office will exhibit their equipment and be readily available to address questions.

Admission to this event is free, making it an enjoyable outing for all at the second Hagen Blue Light Day.

The Hagen's public order office, in collaboration with the THW and DRK, will present interactive exhibits on health-and-wellness and emergency response equipment. In the spirit of fitness-and-exercise, visitors can look forward to watching demonstrations featuring police dogs, service dogs, and divers from various institutions.
