UK Parliament Seeks Industry Views on NHS Pricing Impact on Life Sciences

The House of Commons Science, Innovation and Technology Committee is seeking evidence to assess the impact of NHS pricing, NICE assessment, and US policy shifts on the UK's life sciences sector. The committee aims to evaluate the competitiveness of the UK's life sciences sector and invites submissions from industry experts.

Life sciences companies are encouraged to share their insights by submitting written evidence. The deadline for submissions is 11.59pm on Monday 13th October. Chris Whitehouse, a political consultant specialising in medical technology policy and regulation, has emphasised the tight deadline for this opportunity. The committee is particularly interested in proposed government actions to enhance the international competitiveness of the UK life sciences sector.

The committee's call for evidence is a chance for the life sciences industry to influence policy and ensure the UK remains competitive globally. Submissions must be made by the 13th of October to have an impact on the committee's ongoing inquiry.
