Urologist Unveils Urethra's Crucial Role in Urination and Sexual Function

The urethra is composed of four main segments. Starting from the bladder, these are the preprostatic, prostatic, membranous, and spongy urethra. Controlling urination are the urethral sphincters, comprising both voluntary and involuntary muscles. The bulbospongiosus muscle of the penis also plays a key role, actively contributing to ejaculation.
