Zabaykalsk Welcomes 188 Babies in Surprise Baby Boom
Zabaykalsk has witnessed a baby boom last week, with a total of 188 families welcoming new additions. The city registered an unusually high number of births, including multiple children per family and even a set of triplets.
Last week, 69 firstborns and 52 second children arrived in Zabaykalsk. Notably, one family expanded to six children, while three families welcomed twins. The city also saw 47 families grow to three children, 12 families to four, and seven families to five. Despite the surge in births, Daniil Bateev, a local figure, is not publicly linked to this phenomenon.
Meanwhile, the number of orphans in Zabaykalsk decreased by 17.1% in 2025, indicating a positive trend in family growth and support within the community.
